Prophet expands sales leadership team as company scales for continued growth

Prophet

Carl Clasio and Leo Roubos

Prophet, Australia’s most advanced decision intelligence that helps businesses test and optimise decisions, today announced the further expansion of its sales team with two key appointments as the company continues to scale rapidly.

Former Atomic 212 programmatic and trading expert, Carl Clasio, joins Prophet in a new Onboarding Manager role, while Leo Roubos joins as Sales Enablement and Business Development Lead, working closely with newly appointed Vice President of Sales and Partnerships, James Sawyer.

Roubos, who joins Sawyer in Prophet’s Sydney office, will lead revenue operations, growth and sales for the business, reporting to Chief Growth Officer, Paul Veltman, while Clasio will ensure smooth, impactful onboarding experiences and align technical workflows with client goals. He reports to Chief Operating Officer, Hamish Mogan.

Clasio is a highly experienced Onboarding Manager, with expertise in media mix modelling, econometrics, programmatic advertising and omnichannel digital media activation. He comes to Prophet following a six-year stint at Atomic 212, where he was Programmatic and Trading Manager, leading programmatic activities for clients, and liaising with digital trading partners for advertising solutions.

Clasio has also had extensive marketing experience in the Philippines, working as a Campaign Manager for Amobee and as Ad Operations Manager for Ambient Digital Group.

Prophet Chief Operating Officer, Hamish Mogan, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Carl to Prophet. He will play a vital role in helping customers understand the Prophet model, making sense of their insights and feeling confident from day one. Having someone with Carl’s expertise guiding that early journey is a big win for our team and for the marketers we support.

“Prophet is growing quickly, and the demand for clarity in marketing has never been higher. Carl is an important part of building the high-quality team that will support our customers as we scale. We’re excited to continue growing with talent of his calibre.”

Commenting on his new role, Clasio said: “Coming from an agency background, Prophet provides the opportunity for me to use my expertise in omni-channel activations, as well as translating useful data to actionable insights. Prophet is an integral tool for marketers to finally answer the whys and hows of strategic planning. For me, that’s a huge marketing pain point, so I’m happy to be part of a team that will better guide clients to answers.”

Roubos brings significant expertise in AI start-ups to Prophet, having built several go-to-market functions from scratch. He joins Prophet from Fluency where he was part of the founding team and Head of Growth. He has also held sales roles at global organisations like Booking.com and Deliveroo.

Prophet Chief Growth Officer, Paul Veltman, said: “Leo brings that perfect mix of SaaS pedigree, start-up pace and a genuine problem-solver mindset to Prophet. He has a real can-do attitude and is already deep in building out our internal growth stack and RevOps engine. Culturally, he’s exactly the kind of person who lifts the team. Having him based in Sydney, alongside James Sawyer, strengthens our footprint as we push into the next phase of growth.”

Roubos said: “Plenty of start-ups lead with hype and figure out substance later. Prophet’s done the opposite, putting mathematics at the centre of its focus and taking the time needed to build something genuinely innovative. Now that the hype is deservedly following, it couldn’t be a more exciting time to join the business.”

Both hires are in direct response to the growing client demand for Prophet’s offering, as the business continues to rapidly scale. Growth has further accelerated, with the recent release of Prophet AI – its new AI decision intelligence platform, which builds digital clones of organisations to simulate strategy. The industry-first AI agent, designed to simplify complex modelling, will soon be available exclusively to Prophet customers.

Prophet recently announced additional new hires to meet demand, including Sawyer – the company’s foundational hire in Sydney – and talent acquisition specialist, Bec Geyer, as its new Head of Talent and People, as it actively recruits for several roles. The company also added Phil Davis, Vice President Global GTM at Google Cloud, to its Advisory Board, and Professor Andrew Gelman, of Columbia University, to its board.

Last month, Prophet was recognised as the number one 2025 AFR BOSS Most Innovative Company in the Media and Marketing category.

Prophet is the brainchild of Jordan Taylor-Bartels, a former Hyperloop Global Marketing lead, and Sean Taylor, a former Ogilvy and VMLY&R Commerce CEO. The Melbourne-based business launched in Australia last year, giving brands a proper mathematical insight into how their marketing and business functions are performing and how they can improve.

Since its inception, the business has experienced significant growth, adding more than 30 enterprise customers across the retail, insurance, automotive, media, on-demand delivery, wagering, and cybersecurity industries.

Both Clasio’s and Roubos’ appointments are effective immediately.
