Australia’s most advanced decision intelligence that helps businesses test and optimise decisions, today announced the appointment of two new technology specialists  Aysa Matueva and Ruxin Ma, strengthening its tech team as the business scales for further growth.

Matueva joins Prophet as a Senior Software Engineer, responsible for platform engineering, while Ma has been appointed Frontend Developer, leading the development of Prophet’s user interface and customer experience.

Matueva has nearly a decade of experience building backend systems, with significant expertise across distributed systems, data pipelines and event-driven architecture. She joins Prophet from senior developer stints at ANZ, Culture Amp, and Zendesk, where she led major projects and teams in high-scale product environments. Matueva also worked at General Assembly as a Full Stack Developer.

Ma started her career at Baidu, China’s leading search engine platform, where she was a Product Manager, responsible for optimising search results. She has also had stints at Himalaya Peak and QuickSite Guru.

Prophet CEO, Jordan Taylor-Bartels, said: “Prophet is a rapidly evolving organisation and we are continuously building and improving our decision intelligence platform to bring clients faster results and insights. The business is scaling fast – and it’s critical that we have a world-class development team in place to meet demand and grow at pace. These new appointments will help achieve our ambitions – they bring unique experience and backgrounds to their new roles, making them well-placed to bridge technical execution with Prophet’s business objectives.

“Both Aysa and Ruxin impressed us with their product-oriented mindset and their strong understanding of user needs; their expertise will be vital in enabling our clients to visualise insights and data-driven marketing decisions.”

Commenting on her new role, Matueva said: “I’m someone who thrives in building event-driven systems at scale, and I’m happiest in fast-moving teams, where engineers care about quality, ownership and solving real problems together. Prophet ticks all the boxes with its impressive tech stack and innovative product. I’m looking forward to taking on the architectural challenge of building a system capable of digesting diverse data streams.”

Ma added: “I was drawn to Prophet’s collaborative culture and its commitment to delivering meaningful business impact for clients. I’m excited to grow alongside a talented team, working with cutting-edge technologies, and contributing to solutions that drive real results.”

Both appointments follow a period of substantial growth for Prophet, as it continues to rapidly scale its footprint and client stable. Growth has further accelerated following the recent launch of Prophet AI, the new AI decision intelligence platform, which builds digital clones of organisations to simulate strategy.

Prophet has also significantly expanded its team in recent months, announcing new leadership roles across sales and recruitment to meet demand. Vice President of Sales and Partnerships, James Sawyer, was the company’s foundational hire in Sydney,  while talent acquisition specialist, Bec Geyer, was recently appointed to head up talent, people and recruitment and most recently, Rachel Scott joined Prophet from Suncorp as Head of Marketing Science.

Late last year, Carl Clasio and Leo Roubos joined Prophet’s national sales team, working across revenue operations, growth and onboarding.

The company also expanded its Advisory Board with the appointment of Phil Davis, Vice President Global GTM at Google Cloud, and Professor Andrew Gelman of Columbia University, one of the world’s leading authorities in Bayesian statistics and data modelling, joining the board.

Since its inception, Prophet has quickly grown its client base, with strong customer uptake across the retail, insurance, automotive, media, on-demand delivery, wagering, and cybersecurity industries. It was awarded the AFR BOSS Most Innovative Company in the Media and Marketing category in 2025.

Prophet is the brainchild of Jordan Taylor-Bartels, a former Hyperloop Global Marketing lead, and Sean Taylor, a former Ogilvy and VMLY&R Commerce CEO. The business launched in Australia in 2024, giving brands a proper mathematical insight into how their marketing function is performing and how they can improve it.

Both Matueva and Ma’s appointments are effective immediately.
